1. Introduction
Welcome to AvaSee ("AvaSee," "we," "us," or "our"). AvaSee operates the website located at avasee.ai and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Services. It is a notice about our data practices; it is not a blanket consent to every type of processing. Where applicable law requires consent, we will request it separately.
AvaSee is currently operated by Yuanbo Chen (Chen Yuanbo), an individual based in the People's Republic of China, trading as "AvaSee." For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@avasee.ai. The Services are intended only for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
2. Nature of the Service and AI-Generated Content
AvaSee provides personalized self-reflection, personal-insight, philosophical, and entertainment content. The Services may use astrology, the Eight Characters (Ba Zi), philosophical frameworks, and artificial intelligence to generate reports and other content.
AvaSee is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, financial, investment, legal, or other professional service. AI-generated content is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a licensed professional before it is shown to you. Please use your own judgment and do not rely on AvaSee as a substitute for qualified professional advice.
If you believe you are in immediate danger or are experiencing a mental-health emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service in your region.

Your question or concern may contain highly private information and, depending on what you choose to disclose, may include information that is treated as sensitive or special-category data under applicable law, such as information concerning health, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, or racial or ethnic origin.
We process this information only as needed to provide the reading you request, maintain security, respond to support requests you initiate, comply with law, or for other purposes that we clearly disclose. Where applicable law requires explicit consent to process special-category data, we will request that consent before processing the relevant content. You may withdraw consent prospectively at any time, although withdrawing consent may mean that we can no longer provide features that require that information.
Please do not submit personal information about another person, including another person's birth information or private circumstances, unless you have a lawful basis and that person's knowledge and permission to do so. Do not submit information about minors.
3.4 Information From Third-Party Sign-In Providers
If you choose to sign in through a third-party authentication provider such as Apple or Google, we receive the information that provider makes available to us, which may include your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. The provider's own privacy terms also apply to its processing.
4. How We Use Information
- To provide the Services, including calculating or preparing reading inputs, generating free or paid reports, managing your account, and delivering features you request.
- To personalize your experience and maintain continuity within the features you use.
- To process and verify purchases and provide customer support.
- To send account, security, service, and policy communications, and marketing communications where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law.
- To understand aggregate usage, measure performance, test features, and improve the reliability, quality, and usability of the Services.
- To protect the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate security incidents, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
We do not routinely have humans read your private questions or personalized reports for product improvement. Human access is limited to authorized personnel when reasonably necessary for support you request, security or abuse investigations, legal compliance, or a quality-review process to which you have specifically opted in or otherwise authorized.
5. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:
- Payment provider / Merchant of Record. Purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy processes payment details directly and provides AvaSee with the order and transaction information needed to deliver the purchased product and provide support.
- AI model providers. We use third-party AI APIs to generate readings, as described in Section 7.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers. We use service providers such as Vercel for application hosting and Supabase for database and related infrastructure services.
- Analytics and operational service providers. We may use providers that help us understand product usage, operate communications, detect errors, or maintain security. We limit the data provided to what is reasonably necessary for the service they perform.
- Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, insurers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement authorities, or other parties where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or establish or defend legal claims.
- Business transactions. If all or part of AvaSee is reorganized, financed, acquired, merged, or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
- Other parties with your direction or consent.
6. Data Minimization and Human Access
We aim to collect and use only the information reasonably necessary to provide and operate the Services. Access to personal information is limited according to role and operational need. We do not intentionally place the full text of your private question or personalized report into advertising systems or analytics event properties.
Authorized personnel may be able to access stored data where necessary for troubleshooting, security incident response, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or user-authorized support. We seek to limit such access to the minimum information and duration reasonably necessary.
7. AI Features
7.1 AI Model Providers
AvaSee may use one or more of the following AI providers to generate free and paid reports. We may change the specific model or provider used for a given request based on availability, quality, safety, and product requirements.
- OpenAI — Generating report content and related AI-assisted output. Privacy Policy
- Anthropic — Generating report content and related AI-assisted output. Privacy Policy
- Google (Gemini) — Generating report content and related AI-assisted output. Privacy Policy
7.2 What We Send to AI Providers
When you request a reading, we may transmit the information reasonably necessary to generate it, which can include: your birth date, birth time, and birth city or other chart-related information needed for the requested interpretation; the question or concern you submitted; feature instructions, limited session context, language, and region needed to produce a coherent response; a pseudonymous or internal request/session identifier where needed for operations.
Unless you include them in your own text, we do not intentionally send your password, full payment-card details, bank details, or advertising identifiers to AI providers for report generation. We also aim not to send your account email or username when it is unnecessary for the reading.
7.3 Model Training and Provider Data Use
AvaSee does not use your private questions or personalized reports to train our own general-purpose AI models. We also do not intentionally opt in to programs that use your prompts or outputs for general model training or product improvement by our AI providers. AI providers process data under the API, commercial, privacy, and data-processing terms applicable to our account, which may include limited retention for security, abuse prevention, debugging, or legal compliance.
Provider practices and products can change. We review our production AI configurations and this Privacy Policy periodically and will update this section if our material data practices change.
7.4 AI Transparency and Automated Decisions
Reports and related outputs generated through AvaSee are AI-generated or AI-assisted. Our core reading features depend on AI processing. If you do not want your submitted information sent to our AI providers, do not use the reading features.
We do not use automated processing or profiling to make decisions about you that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects, such as decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare eligibility, or access to essential services.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, maintain authentication and security, remember choices, and understand how the Services are used.
- Strictly necessary (Authentication, security, fraud prevention, and core functionality) — Cannot be declined.
- Analytics (Understanding usage and improving performance and features) — Can be declined where consent is required.
- Preferences (Remembering settings and choices) — Can be declined where not strictly necessary.
Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will not be activated until you make a choice. You can change your preferences through the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer or through your browser controls. We honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where applicable.
9. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, infrastructure-level encryption at rest where provided by our hosting providers, access controls, and measures designed to reduce unauthorized access.
No security system is completely secure. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will investigate and provide notifications to affected individuals and regulators where required by applicable law.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain account and security records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.
In general, account information, submitted questions, and readings are retained while your account remains active unless you delete them earlier or request deletion. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, readings, and submitted questions from active AvaSee systems, subject to limited legal, security, fraud prevention, or backup retention requirements.
11. International Data Processing and Transfers
AvaSee is currently operated from the People's Republic of China. Our service providers and infrastructure operate in multiple countries. Primary application hosting may be provided through Vercel, and primary database infrastructure may be provided through Supabase in a region selected by AvaSee, currently Japan. AI providers may process requests in the United States or other locations permitted under their applicable service terms and subprocessor arrangements.
Authorized AvaSee personnel supporting operations may access personal information from China on a need-to-know basis for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Because of this structure, your personal information may be processed outside the country where you live.
Where applicable law requires a specific transfer mechanism, we use or seek to use appropriate safeguards, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, adequacy mechanisms, contractual protections with processors, or another lawful transfer mechanism available under applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Services are for adults aged 18 and older only. If you are under 18, do not use AvaSee or provide information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to AvaSee, contact hello@avasee.ai. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete the information where appropriate.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or integrations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to them.
14. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular state privacy law applies to AvaSee, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and appeal certain privacy-request decisions.
AvaSee does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. To exercise an applicable state-law privacy right, email hello@avasee.ai and identify your state of residence and the request you wish to make. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable law.
